Taismo: Seeing Double Chap. 5

Chapter 5~

               It was completely quiet inside the red orb, with Tails still knocked out and the Tails Doll dead still.  Tails' eyes twitched a few times, and he suddenly jolted open his eyes after realizing that he was in vast, black, nothingness with only the Tails Doll.  He jumped backwards at the very sight of the Tails Doll, a small scream uttering from his throat.  Tails was relieved to be able to move freely again, but as soon as he managed to stand upward, he was standing face-to-face with the Tails Doll.  The Tails Doll stayed dead still, its eyes still glaring into the distance somewhere behind him.  Tails was trembling, fear stabbing at his mind and body like a white-hot blade.  Slowly, Tails laid a shaking hand on the head of the Tails Doll, but it was still unmoved.  Tails' eyes shot open faster than bullets at the moment skin met fabric; he thought he heard a voice in his head talking to him.

                The voice asked in an strangely familiar voice, "Do you want to see Cosmo again?"
                Tails did not know if he should answer or not to this mystery voice, so he just stood there silently.
                "Do you want to see Cosmo again??"  The voice sounded somewhat impatient.
                "...Yes..." Tails involuntarily answered.
                "I can take you to where she is now...and if you wish...I will allow you to visit her."
                "Cosmo...I want to see her again..." Tails mumbled, eyes closing slightly as he said this.
"Then hold on."

                The barrier was hurdling through space and galaxies at light speed.  Tails' vision of the worlds and stars and the planets was just a huge black blur as they moved faster and faster throughout the universe.  Tails then lost balance and was holding onto the Tails Doll, who suprisingly supported his weight.  Tails shut his eyes, and in a matter of seconds, the glowing, neon red orb crashed deeply into seemingly soft earth.

                When Tails came to, the first thing he saw was the beautiful face of the pure-souled girl that he believed he had previously killed.

                                              "COSMO!!!"
